Honeycomb Maps Google Drive App Documentation
Overview
The Honeycomb Maps Google Drive App is a lightweight data visualization tool that allows you to build interactive maps inside the browser, leveraging Google Drive for storage.
Compared to the Snowflake Native App offering, the Google Drive app is best suited for maps that utilize smaller amounts of static data. This is often sufficient for individuals building maps as well as small-to-medium businesses without a dedicated data platform like Snowflake.
Key Benefits
- Ease of use: The Google Drive integration makes it easy to build maps that incorporate your data, without needing to load it into a separate service
- Free offering: We offer a limited number of map creations for free each month. If you are building personal maps, this may be enough. Beyond this, we offer paid plans.
- Public link sharing: Maps you create with the Honeycomb Maps Google Drive App leverage Google Drive's permissions model, meaning that you can share maps with other users or to anyone with the link.
